The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

今天在iis 安裝完 SMTP Service 後, 在iis內無法啟動 SMTP

並出現以下的錯誤訊息

"The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."

在 Event Log 內一點相關的東西也沒有...

在MS 的 KB 中, 找到這兩個有關聯的

but no luck...

在 run > iisreset 後, 看reset 後, 會否有其他訊息

但結果也一樣....

最後發覺是一個白痴的問題...

在 services.msc 內, SMTP 的 services 不知為何default 是 disable 了...

start 返 "Simple Mail Transfer Protocol" Service, 就正常了!
